A trichinellózis világszerte elterjedt. Emellett a trichinellózis szociális gondot is okoz a megbetegedett lakosságnak.Kulcsszavak: trichinellózis, kórjelzés, károk
TRICHINELLOSIS AS AN ACTUAL PROBLEM IN SERBIAAuthor: Romina SZALAI 6th year undergraduate studentSupervisor: Dr Mirko ŠINKOVIĆ university professorInstitution: Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Belgrade, Belgrade
Trichinellosis, a disease common both in people and animals, has been mentioned in papers as early as several centuries before. In the 19th century it was intensively investigated, which resulted in the introduction of trichinoscopic examination of pork, first in Germany and then in most European countries.Trichinella spiralis is a small, thin, cylindrical worm (Nematode) which requires a passage through two consecutive hosts. It is transmitted by an intake of meat containing infectious larvae. Trichinellosis is more or less present in the whole world. It can be said to be practically eradicated in the Netherlands, Denmark and Belgium, but in some countries (including Serbia and Montenegro, Italy, France) it has epidemic dimensions. As far as protection of people is concerned, the best preventive measure is the regular examination of meat. Protection of animals comprises thermic processing of excrement and urine, deratization, safe carcass disposal, and education of producers, customers and hunters.Trichinellosis causes significant economic losses, either direct (dieing of animals, throwing away large amounts of infected meat) or indirect ones (decreased production). Beside the economic losses caused by the uselessness of the meat of slaughtered animals infected with T. spiralis, there are great social problems for the people infected with this parasite. Keywords: trichinellosis, diagnostics, losses

Trihineloza – zajedničko oboljenje ljudi i ivotinja pominje se u zapisima starim vie vekova. U devetnaestom veku intenzivno se izučava, to rezultira uvođenjem trihinoskopskog pregleda mesa svinja, prvo u Nemačkoj a zatim i u najvećem broju evropskih zemalja.
