A környezeti feltételek periodikus változása periodikus egyenleteket eredményez. Erre példa biológiai modellekben az évszakok változása, nagyteljesítményű gépeknél a forgó alkatrészek, de periodikus egyenleteket használnak a közgazdaságtanban és klimatikus modellekben is. A dolgozat témája egy időben periodikus jobboldalú, késleltetett argumentumú differenciálegyenlet kvalitatív vizsgálata. A cél az egyensúlyi helyzet instabil halmaza szerkezetének a leírása. Az instabil halmaz mindig része a globális attraktornak, ezért kulcsfontosságú a dinamika szempontjából. A felhasznált matematikai eszközök: Floquet-együtthatók, instabil halmazok grafikus reprezentációja, lokális invariáns sokaságok, diszkrét Ljapunov-funkcionál, kompakt operátorok, Neimark-Sacker bifurkáció.
Kulcsszavak: késleltetett visszacsatolás, periodikus rendszerek, Floquet-együtthatók, funkcionáldifferenciálegyenlet

Differential equations have been applied in a wide range of scientific models for a long while. When a system reacts slowly, the rate at which of the state changes depends not only on the present state, but on the states as well. Such a delay can be caused in population dynamics by the fact that newborn individuals need some time to be able to reproduce.Hence in the case of delayed feedback, it is not enough to know the present state, but also the ’history’ of the system. This after-effect generates a lot of technical difficulties, for example our phase space is infinite dimensional. The periodic fluctuation of the environment calls for periodic equations. An example in biological models is the alternation of the seasons, in the case of high-speed milling and cutting machines the rotation of certain components, but periodic equations are applied also in economy and climate models. The subject of this paper is the qualitative study of a time-periodic delay differential equation. Our aim has been to investigate the structure of the unstable set of the equilibrium. The unstable set is always a subset of the global attractor, since its properties are very important from the aspect of global dynamics. Applied mathematical tools have been the following: Floquet multipliers, graphic representation of unstable sets, local invariant manifolds, discrete Lyapunov-functional, compact operators, Neimark-Sacker bifurcation.
